The EARL-Network

Child Development Institute

The Child Development Institute (CDI) which is an accredited children’s mental health agency, is located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The institute has offered evidence-based programs for children and youth and their families for over 100 years. In 1998, Leena K. Augimeri and her team of researchers and clinicians developed the EARL in 1998 and revised the instrument since then.

The EARL and SAVRY-Network

An interdisciplinary team of clinicians and researchers, Mikaela Baum, Maria Helander, and Areti Smaragdi translated the EARL into Swedish. Together with their colleagues, they have been providing training on the EARL for Swedish professionals since 2006.

The EARL-Network is an international connection of researchers and clinicians who are working closely together to conduct research and to provide training opportunities for psychologists, psychiatrists, psychotherapists, social workers, and everyone working together with families and children displaying problematic (antisocial/disruptive) behaviors.

The more organisations use the EARL, the more children at risk for future antisocial and delinquent behaviour will receive the help they need. If you are interested in joining the EARL-Network or if you want to translate the EARL into your language, please contact us:
